Enough

I awaken from a peaceful sleep and feel
the urgency of the Holy Spirit to come and commune with Him.

I rise in eager expectation of sweet fellowship
with my Lord.

I sit before Him in silence and await a Word.
All I can hear is my heart beating in a desperate
crescendo of sound.

The quiet is deafening but filled with
the soft peace of His Spirit.

I can hear the distant song of my wind chimes
singing a soft melody and it just floods my soul with joy.

As my spirit begins to enter into communion with His, I feel
a quickening deep inside that fills my heart with expectation.

As His presence descends and fills the room, I am
almost overcome and rendered speechless. I can barely lift my
head as the heaviness of Him presses in.

Just sitting in the presence of the Almighty completes me. As His
precious voice whispers softly to my heart, I feel a
contentment in my spirit like no other. I can almost
feel His hot Holy breath on my face as I sense the
words that come forth.

"I'm enough. If you have nothing but me and my presence, I AM enough"

Yes, Lord. You are enough. You are more than enough. You fill my empty places. You restore the brokenness in my soul. You deliver me in my weakness and You conquer all that comes against me.
You are enough and I bask in your Holiness and I rest in your sweet embrace. I continue to be astounded at the power of your Name and the sweetness of your Mercy.  You are so good.

He is enough because He IS.

fingerprints on my soul

In His Presence,
there is peace and comfort.

His goodness surrounds me and fills me with joy.

My Spirit is engulfed with His mercy and
saturated by His generous grace.

I am stilled by the awesome wonder of His majesty.

And I feel Him.....

The air is thick with the presence of Jehovah. Pressing down
and making it hard to breathe.

I sense Him and feel the warmth of Him cascade over me.

I can feel the tingle of His touch and look to see if He
left visible fingerprints on my skin or
perhaps only on my soul.

He is here and I close my eyes and worship.

King of glory.
YHWH.
God Almighty.
Prince of Peace.

I sit quietly, wrapped tightly in His embrace.
Experiencing the ministry of the Holy Spirit deep
in my hungry soul, and enjoying
sweet fellowship with my Savior.

The Presence of the Lord is overwhelming and astounding.

The sheer majesty of the One enthroned above settles
down upon me and fills me completely with His love.
His goodness. His power. His presence.

I sit in silence with my head tilted toward the heavens and my
heart flung wide open, ready to receive. My eyes are focused on Him
and my arms are reaching high to surrender my all.

All to Jesus. All to Him.

I fall on my face and I worship.

"My soul followeth hard after thee...."
(Psalm 63:8)

Come Holy Spirit...

I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me and felt a real tugging at my heart. I was nestled comfortably in my favorite spot on the love seat and was deep in the Word when the Lord began beckoning me to His House. I got up and walked across the parking lot and entered the darkened sanctuary.

Silence. Peace. I felt the presence of God the minute I passed through the doors. Sweet goosebumps settled on my neck and my arms. I whispered, 'He is here...' I made my way to the altar and sat on the steps in the cloak of darkness. The only light on was the one in the baptistry.

I could hear the water running and I smiled to myself at the significance of it. Salvation. Precious souls giving their lives fully to Christ. Thank you, Lord, for drawing those sweet people to you and for your amazing grace.

As I sat in the stillness, I could feel the powerful presence of God settling over me. His presence was so sweet. The Spirit was so heavy and so thick in the room. Almost stifling. I began praying for the services the next day. Praying that the Holy Spirit be evident to each person walking through those doors. I prayed for God to overwhelm us. Astound us. Fill us with unspeakable joy and allow praise to overflow from our lips.

My favorite preacher walked in from checking the water in the baptistry and we sat in the quiet together. We soaked in the glory of the Lord as it invaded the entire sanctuary. The silence was deafening. In it there was peace, comfort and sweet whispers of the Holy Spirit.

As we prayed together for ourselves and for the collective body of Christ in our church, our hearts cried out in unison for a mighty work to begin in each of us. That our revival would never end and that the fire that has been ignited in us and is consuming us still, burn forever.

We finished praying and just sat in the stillness of the moment. Basking in the awesome goodness of our God. Savoring the sweet aroma of His presence. Reveling in the knowledge that He loves us.  Jesus loves us....

Come Holy Spirit. Come and do your thing in our midst! Assault us with your presence. Blow us away with your power. Do a mighty work in our lives and service like never before.

"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven
as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled
all the house where they were sitting"
Acts 2:2

longing for an encounter

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you long for an encounter with Jesus? Do you just have a deep seeded need to reach out and feel Him?
As Christians we should have this feeling every day of our life. We need to be longing after Him and craving His presence in our lives.
I long for an encounter with Him. I long for His touch. His presence.
I long to feel the weight of the Holy Spirit pressing firmly down on my head. I love the heavy feeling of His Spirit looming over me and the way it takes my breath away.
I ache with an empty hunger for more. More of His Word. More of His Spirit. More of His almighty Presence.
My heart cries out for a fresh touch. One that renews. One that restores. One that reminds me...
Of Who He is...
Of His power..
Of His Love..
A touch that sears my skin and leaves the invisible fingermarks of God behind.
A touch that anoints. A touch that penetrates deeply to the yearning in my spirit.
I long for His embrace. His covering. His sweet mercy.
On my face, I cry out in sheer desperation of the Lifter of my head to minister to the deepest recesses of my being. I want. I seek. I long. I yearn.
For the deep mystery of Him to be revealed to the inner depths of my spirit.
As His presence fills the room, my spirit rejoices! Lord you are good! You are life to us.
Breath on us Oh, God and let your Holy Spirit consume our hearts and light a fire in our souls that we in turn ignite those around us. Let Your fire burn in us and engulf all that we come in contact with . Show us Your Glory!
