Life happens.
We get careless in our walk with God.
We neglect His Word. We fail to spend time in intimate
communion with our Father.
Our relationship begins to suffer. Our intimacy with Him wanes.
The close bond that we once experienced loosens and we
no longer hear His voice or feel His hand upon us like before.
Our joy decreases as we no longer live each
day in the Spirit as He so desires.
Our spirits begin to long for something. Something that
isn't tangible. We begin to long for Him. We long
for that intimacy once more.
To hear His voice.
To feel His touch.
To experience His power.
To be in His Presence..
We need to open our eyes. And become aware.
Listen closely for the sound of His voice
in the wilderness of our lives.
Be obedient. Rise and follow
where He is leading.
Cling to His Word and devour it hungrily daily.
And, once again, we can experience the
power and pleasure of walking
in intimate communion with God.
We can once again
encounter Him as we feel the
fingermarks of God on our soul.

Good Morning, Beth.
A fine word for my heart.
"...in the wilderness of our lives..." hit home as I meandered and wobbled between caregiver no longer and where God would direct me next. I truly felt this wilderness until a month ago..when I began tutoring a set of twins in reading...praising the LORD for His direction and my open ears and eyes at just the right moments.
Blessings to you and your family, Beth, for a blessed Christmas. ~ linda
