Worship the Savior...

I'm a worship girl.

There is nothing I like better than to pop in some praise music and worship my Savior with all of my heart. I love to worship and I love to meet with Jesus in the midst of it. I can't think of a better way than that to sync my heart with His in preparation of hearing a Word from the Throne of Grace. I just love to worship.

I think that many Christians have either lost that desire to worship or perhaps they never had it to begin with. Worship is the way our hearts come together with the heart of God. It is a joining together of our souls and spirits. It is opening ourselves wide for the filling of His Spirit. It is about an encounter with an Almighty God. An all-out, holy-ghost, heart-changing, consuming-fire encounter with Jesus. True Worship.

When I listened to Chris Tomlin's newest endeavor (to be released November 16th),  And If Our God Is For Us, I was transported into such a place of worship as that. Every song on this CD was full of the power and goodness of God. Every song touched my heart in some way. Chris has a way of getting right to the heart of who God is and who we are in relation to Him.

As I was listening to the CD, one of the songs just spoke so loudly to my heart. "The Name of Jesus" is a beautiful song about who Jesus is. He is our refuge and our shelter. He is our fortress and our hope. But two little phrases just hit me with force.

"When we fall You are the Savior.
When we call You are the Answer"

Those words just touched my heart deeply. Those words just seemed to sum it up. He not only is our Savior, He is our Answer. For everything and in everything. We fall. We call. And He is there. Thank you, Jesus.

I want to worship Him with an unquenchable thirst. An unending hunger. An unsatisfied desire.

I am so thankful that God has anointed Chris Tomlin with a heart to hear from Him, a voice to praise Him with and the unction to share that gift with others.

Good morning my precious friend, Love this post because I love, really love to worship. Often I find myself so moved at His love that I will cry-just the magnitude of His heart meeting us. Also love Chris Tomlin, I agree he is anointed. I'll have to try and listen soon to this. Beth, you are so dear to me and I thank our Father for you!
Hugs today and much love.

Amen!

I keep praise music going all day long in my house and my car. Someone just gave me a beautiful Christmas JOY CD that is just instrumental! That is playing now!

I believe that for many of us - praise music keeps the enemy away. If I let myself listen to other 'stuff' - the enemy has a open door to my mind - but not with praise music... THAT keeps me IN WORSHIP all day both in mind and spirit!

I'm with you Worship Girl!

There's a song that says Speak God's name and satan tremblem, Speak God's word and watch him flee. So many worship songs has words form the Bible in them, that you can't help but be in God's prescence.

I so often do a chore like the ironing with my praise tapes on, and find that I m transported from the everyday.

I've not heard of this new song of his but will have to check it out.

The only thing just as sweet as worship in song which I love to do from my heart too, is worshiping the LORD in my lifestyle. I want my entire being to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

I long that my thoughts, words, heart attitudes and behavior would constantly without interruption, worship Him. He's so worthy!!! I come undone just thinking about His goodness and unfailing love--bows my head and my heart before Him.

Thank you for a BEAUTIFUL message Beth. You have a precious heart for the LORD!

I also love to have praise music on during the day! I find that it puts all of us in a good mood, even the kids! It's hard to fight over a toy or argue about a chore whenever someone's singing praises! I need to check out this new CD...ahem...?

I love Chris Tomlin's music and I often sit with my headphones in my ears and listen to so many good praise cds...some ever so soothing and others that bring me to my feet with dancing, clapping and lifting my hands high in the air. The music penetrate deep into my mind, heart and soul. Before I know it I'm in that special place with Him...so beautiful.

I'm with you sister here...all the way up to the heavens worship and praise to our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

I love you Beth and your heart for Jesus...you've got me pumped up now and it's 11:57 P.M.

Hugs,
Alleluiabelle
