The Immeasurable Love of Christ.

"...that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God"
( Ephesians 3:17-19)

The love of Christ is immeasureable.

The breadth of His love extends to all people.

The length of His love extends to the lowest of our human need.

The height of His love extends to the highest heaven.

Christ's love for us covers all dimensions. The love He has for us surpasses all knowledge. His love for us transcends everything we can comprehend or imagine.

He loves us with an everlasting love. An unconditional love. A perfect love.

His love gives us roots to plant deep so we can be firmly grounded in Him.

Firmly grounded in His Word. Firmly grounded in His love. Firmly grounded in our faith.

He loves us with an indwelling love. He abides in us and gives us the ability to love others.

"We love Him because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19)

Because of His love -

We keep His commandments.(1 John 5:2)
We love others. (1 John 4:7)
We have no fear. (1 John 4:18)
We are His children. (1 John 3:1)
Because of His love for us -

We can experience victory over sin and death through the shed blood of His precious Son.

I pray that during this time of year, we keep our focus on the baby in the manger. The birth of our Savior. The Christ-child.  I pray that we long to draw nearer to Him and yearn for the deeper things in Christ. May the love that God has for us, cause us to love more. May we keep the season all about the Son of God. Let's celebrate the gift of Jesus. Emmanuel. God with us.
+++++++++++++++++++++
Father, thank you for loving me. Thank you for the unending, eternity reaching, unconditional love that you showed all mankind on the cross. Thank you for loving me when I am unloveable. Help me to love others. Help me to love like you love. Thank you precious Lord for loving me well. You are awesome and mighty and powerful. You are my everything. You are indeed the reason for the season.

CHRISTmas..... it's all about JESUS!

Read your earlier post on 'No Regrets', I have been distracted and it is not helping the turmoil going on in my head. Perhaps it is really me having to forgive myself. I do not regret my divorce, but I do regret in disappointing my GOD. Perhaps that is the cause of my anxiety! Blessings.

Beth,
What a beautiful post!!! We head to Mayo on Monday, with my appointment on Tuesday. I am really looking forward to some uninterrupted time with my husband listening to the Word as we travel. I have a special CHRISTmas present for him to open in the driveway just as we leave. It is a sermon series our Pastor did several years back on Revelation. We listened to the second of the series last trip. I love to listen to the Word with my hubby as we travel.

Hope you have a Blessed weekend and week,
Dawn

PS Hope Melissa is better ~~ still praying!! Love you ~~

Beth:

Any post that brings us back to the love of GOD is well worth pondering!

I loved this line especially where you wrote:
"Firmly grounded in His Word. Firmly grounded in His love. Firmly grounded in our faith."

That's what His love does!

After almost 40 years of faith in Christ - it was only in these last 3+ years that I have finally understood, grasped and recieved that complete Love from God the Father, Jesus His Son and my precious Holy Spirit! I am His BELOVED - and HE is mine!

There is SECURITY and PEACE in that LOVE!

Choosing GREAT JOY while basking in His LOVE,
Stephanie

Hi sweet Beth:

Your words just reminded me of one of my favorite old songs...The Love of God... I can hear Bev Shea singing it in my head right now.

..to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry,
nor coud the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky....

That's a lot of love, and the greatest gift to us this Christmas!

Love & hugs to you and your family. Still praying for Melissa as she regains her strength.

Beth,

Yearning with you as 2009 draws to a close and the endless possibilities that arise for 2010 to be more like Jesus, and to love with His love. I'm eternally grateful that He continues to love me, like you said, when I'm unloveable.

Lovingly,
Yolanda

Beth, what beautiful words of encouragement :) The Lord is so good to us to be willing to leave His glorious throne in heaven where praises were always lifted up to Him to be be placed in a little manger in an animal stable.
What great love He must have for us!!
Merry Christmas, Beth, and to your family! Praying you all are well.

Amen!
"May we keep the season all about the Son of God." ... Yes, that should be our focus and be steadfast about Him, about fixing our eyes on Jesus. May the Birth of the Christ child be reborn in our hearts daily, moment-by-moment.
May your Christmas be blessed to full, Beth.
I love you, ~ linda

May we be like a tree, firmly planted by the water, unmovable, unshakable, let our roots go down deep, by faith in Gods word. Amen, Merry Christmas!
