seeking to find

When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You,
“Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

(Psalm 27:8)

I have an insatiable longing and desire for a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. I have a furious hunger that just starts in the depths of my being and there is just no satisfying it. The more I learn, the more I want to know. The more I seek, the more I want to search. The more I find, the more I want to keep looking.

Every time I read the scriptures, He shows me new and awesome things. He just keeps revealing new truths and new treasures. I have a new appreciation for the mighty Word of God. I am seeing it with a whole different perspective. I’m like a kid in a candy store and I just can’t get enough.

I love God’s Word! I just love how He opens up a whole new world of knowledge to me each time I study the bible. Knowledge of who He really is. Knowledge of who I am in Him. Knowledge of His power and His might. His sovereignty. His omnipotence. Oh, He is so good!

He sent a mighty rain to my spirit - drenching me in the water of His Word. He has just opened up the floodgates and I am soaked with His presence. I feel like there has been a downpour in my life that has watered some mighty dry places that have been in desperate need of some moisture!

My soul is so thirsty for Him. I want to be saturated in His glory. I want to feel Him ever present in my life. I want to savor the sweet fragrance of Him as I delve deep into His Word and uncover Jesus in some powerful new encounters.

I am on a passionate pursuit. Purposefully seeking the ‘much more’ that He has for me. Just reveling in the wonder of Him. Ready for all that He is to penetrate and make me all that I can be for the kingdom of God.

I pray that I never get filled up. I pray that I continue to seek and find. I pray that I will always fully embrace the amazing grace of God.

Lord, fill those dry and empty places in my life. Restore, renew and revive me. Enable me to discern Your voice. Hear You speak. Feel Your presence. Your Word tells me that if I seek you with all of my heart that I will find You and I do want to find You, Lord. As I seek, show me the way. Guide my steps. Lead me to You. Oh, Lord, show me Your glory.

You are mighty and powerful. You are merciful and gracious. You are my whole life. I love You and I praise You. Send a downpour in my life.

In the mighty and saving name of Jesus. Amen.

Oh how you always sweep me along with you my precious friend. You capture my heart for Him in your words as I read along and pray with you. I was going to highlight and copy a section to this comment that I like but I would have to highlight the whole thing!

Lord, you are certainly using this special woman as "An Instrument 4 Your Glory". Thank you for filling her as she continues to pass her ever overflowing cup of love, knowledge, wisdom and so much more of you on to me and so many others.

Big Hugs,

Oh Beth,

How sweet this post sounds and I too, want to be filled to over flowing with the love and grace of our God and Savior. May He find those areas that are in desperate need of His healing waters and wash me clean once more.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Now that I've found Him [again] I want more and more of Him! But His Presence is everywhere when I SEEK Him out - so real - so AWEstriking - so powerful and truly magnificent!

That Scripture you chose is a perfect example of the TRUSTING relationship that God desires with us....... He asks something of us [always for our benefit] then... we respond from the heart!

It's called: OBEDIENCE!
We often think it's a bad word or a hard task to carry out - yet look at the results that we have found when we seek Him with all of our hearts! Amazing God!

I know Yolanda will LOVE this post! She's SEEKING at every turn!

Am I? I hope so!

This journey in 2010 has been an amazing one already as I continue to seek Him, the more I hunger, the more He fills me with exactly what it is He is trying to teach me. I love HIM so!

"Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his precense continually!" One of my "extra" scriptures for 2010. Psalm 105:4

I love your passion for God's Word. I have that same passion. I was wondering if I was too intense (you should see all my notes.) But your sweet words assure me that you just can't get enough or too much. I knew that. Bless you.

I hear you Beth, God bless you more and more, sweet woman. So good to hear another soul desperate for Jesus! In fact you have a community here that seems to be in the same desperate mode. I am honored to be a part of what God is doing in 'blogvilla'. May He be praised and glorified by our presence here.

Beautiful message! I love God's Word too dear sister! I feast on His Word and I approach His Word with reverence. I remember the days long ago when the Bible sat awaiting my Sunday's. Then it would rest on the end table until....that next Sunday until one day in my twenties, the Holy Spirit tapped my heart something fierce and I jumped in the WORD with a spiritual eye...fresh eyes and the Word became ALIVE TO ME. I've been blessed with the privilege to feed at the table of the Word ever since as we all are.

You always BLESS MY HEART with your heart for the LORD and His Word. I'm certain that you make Him smile.

You're a blessing to many of us. Love you.
