Prayer for All God's Little Lambs

Today my heart is heavy over so many hurting children and their families. If you look around, you can see so many little children and babies that are battling cancer, heart problems, birth defects and other physical ailments. My mind just can’t comprehend what it must be like for the parents and grandparents and families of those precious children.

We have read of many women that are carrying babies that have already been diagnosed with physical disorder, diseases, deformities and other life threatening issues and these little ones haven’t even been born into this world yet. As a mother and grandmother, I can’t imagine being faced with these things. I can’t imagine waking every morning and the reality of these things hitting them square in the face.

Things that are beyond our control. Things that aren’t fixable in the human realm. Things that only God can reach down and touch.

Today – please say a prayer for these.

Parents and family of Josiah Herring – 4 year old with glioma brain tumor – went to be with Jesus this morning.

April Rose and her mother “B”
Avery Grace Akeman – 4 year old with many blood/GI issues
Abby Riggs
Bentley – having heart surgery today
Jonah Williams
Nikki & little Johanna who is still in the womb
Preston
Westin
Noah – 5 months old shaken by care giver - recovering
Nathan – infant that had heart surgery
Stellan – still experiencing episodes of SVT

Aidan - 1 year old - suffered fall from 3rd story

I know there are many others. If there is one that I need to add to this page, please feel free to email me or leave me a comment and I can update.

Josiah’s dad ended his update with this yesterday when the doctors told him that his precious little boy would not come out of his coma.

“Standing atop Mount Moriah I am facing a sacrifice that I do not want to make. I look to the thicket and it is empty”

Through tears and a hurting heart,

Beth

This list just breaks my heart. In our day to day lives, most of don't know of more than one child struggling this way. In the blog world the list and hurts become daunting. But what a powerful medium to use to join together and lift their names before the throne.
Praying with you!

We are all mourning with them.

Losing children especially early in life is very difficult. I remember when I spoke to a group of about 50 women a few months after my husband died, I found out afterward that 7 of the 50 had lost a child - that's 14% of those who were there. I was astounded.

But in all that - EACH one had a testimony to the glory of God and has found her joy again - and testified that God's hand was on the entire situation for GOOD!

The climb up Mt. Moriah is a steep one to begin with - and when the thicket is empty - God must have a very big plan for that outcome! It's yet to be seen. It's in the faith of our future!

I had been praying for Josiah and family early this AM before I heard this news on Lisa's blog.

Thanks for allowing us to pray - and to share this burden with them. If you have an actual address where cards can be sent I'd love to send them my love.

Psalm 23:4
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Choosing JOY even in grief,
Stephanie

Bernice brought this to my attention at my blog and I'm thanking the Lord she did..I'm praying with you precious sister,,and standing the gap for all the list you posted..Matthew 18:18-20...I truly praise God for how He leads His daughters to pray for one another, how He places individuals upon our hearts.

My neighbor just told me yesterday she needed to go for another ultra sound for her pregnancy. Something wasn't 'fine' with her precious daughter. They have named the little girl Ashlyn.
