"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Galations 6:7
Whatever we sow.. we will reap.
If we are sowing things of the flesh, we will reap corruption.
If we are sowing things of the Spirit, we will reap everlasting life.
When we sow to the flesh, we are basically promoting our own sinful, corrupt nature and that is in direct opposition to God. We will reap physical, moral and spiritual ruin.
When we sow to the Spirit, we are seeking after those things which are pure, holy and right. We are promoting Godliness and Truth. We will reap physical, moral and spiritual wholeness. Everlasting life.
If we want to sow to the Spirit, we have to equip ourselves with the right seed.
The Word of God is that seed and we have to read it, study it, treasure it, know it and share it. Luke 8 tells us that we must take the Word of God and protect it, hide it in our hearts so that it can't be snatched away.
We can't reap the things of the Spirit if we aren't planting the right seed. That is God's Word and God's Word will never let us down. If we are doing the things that He teaches in His Word, we can't fail. When God is the reason we do what we do - we can't go wrong. If we keep our eyes on Him and we are seeking after those things which are about Him, we will be sowing the right seed!
And when we are sowing the right seed, we will bear fruit. The right fruit. Good fruit. Spiritual fruit.
"By this My Father is glorified that you bear much fruit, so you will be my disciples.' John 15:8
Lord, I want to sow the things of the Spirit. Your Spirit, Lord. I want to bear fruit for your kingdom. For your Glory. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for eternal life.

Makes me think of Romans 7:7-25 and Romans chapter 8.
May we walk in obedience of His word and sow that which represents Him.
Praise the Lord.
Blessings and peace to you!
"When God is the reason we do what we do - we can't go wrong." I love how you worded that. Simple. . .profound. Struck me this morning. Goes back to the question, "Is what I'm about to say/do glorify God?"
The Word was, the Word is and the Word will be!!!
I hope you're so taken with the blessings He brings to you today.
Kari :)
Beth,
I love the principal of sowing and reaping and also love teaching it to my son and in this economic situation what a great time to teach huh?
Have a Blessed day friend, praying for you,
Dawn
This is something that I know our pastor has really tried to teach our church. Some people reallly struggle with this.
And I know with the economy being this bad people are struggling with it even worse. This is when it counts the most. also called Faith.
What shall you sow, shall you reap!
We sow to a church that we don't even go to anymore, sounds strange well this is what God told us to do, and let me tell you, Praise,Praise God we both have our jobs, and last month We were rewarded with tax money, my hubby got a 2.00 raise, plus he got 2 different bonus's for 4,000.00 we never expected this. God Is Good,
Great message
Blessings
Beth, for me I can't help but think of us, each one of us Girlfriends...to be stepping out into the Titus 2 women God has designed us to be.
Love to you,
Yolanda
Beth,
You cannot say this enough! We not only need to know the word and obey the word, but we need to be able to teach and instruct young women as well.
I just posted on my blog today how for years I went to church and did not know the truth of GOD'S word or even what grace or the gospel was!
Believe me when I tell you that a woman sitting in a church that does not pray and read her Bible for understanding can be taken advantage of by "sheep in wolves clothing".
Thank you for this.
Blessings and love,
Teri
"The Word of God is that seed and we have to read it, study it, treasure it, know it and share it."
Amen, Beth!!
May we all bear much fruit as we walk in His truth!
Bless you,
Susan
Count me in here! I see more and more women desiring to be "real" - with "purity of heart and life" - obedient and without compromise. I agree with so many of the comments that were left with this post as well - like Lisa S., Kari, Susan, and Yolanda [& all of you]! Wow - your girls are right on!
May we just simply and sweetly reflect our Lord Jesus Christ for His glory!
Choosing JOY,
Stephanie
