He will do a NEW thing!

There have been 2 scriptures lately that have just pierced my soul and spoken so powerfully to my heart.

"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found by you." (Jeremiah 29:13-14)

"For Your Word has given me life" (Psalm 119:50b)

Each time I read these verses, they breath new life into my soul. They rejuvenate my spirit and they just restore the joy in my heart. I keep them on index cards in my car and on my desk so I can see them many times a day. They are spiritual water that quenches my thirst.

I have never had a season of such seeking in my life like I have had lately.

I have never hungered for the Word of God like this before.

I have never thirsted so deeply and desperately for a Word of spiritual Truth from my Savior like I have recently.

I crave His presence.
I desire His touch.
I long for the Truth of His Word.

Our lives get too busy and too focused on the wrong things. We can start going in the wrong direction and not realize it until it's too late. Our dailyness can take many twists and turns and it can take us through varying trials and testings.

Lately I have been very unhappy in my job. I have worked in the same place for almost 9 years. Things have evolved there into a place I no longer recognized. I had become someone that I no longer enjoyed being. My job had become a burden to my soul and I just felt like maybe it was time for a change. I had been praying about it for awhile.

Yesterday the Lord just impressed upon me, "today is the day. It's time." So I turned in my resignation.

I felt so free when I walkd out of there at 5 PM yesterday. I felt like a giant weight had been lifted off of me. I felt a peace that I haven't felt in a long time.

I pray that during this time of reflection and seeking in my life, that I will listen to God and heed the direction that He points me in.

These next few weeks I plan to do some much needed ministering alongside my pastor husband. There are so many in our church and community that are in need of physical and spiritual healing. I pray that I can be a help to him during this time. I've never been able to go with him and visit and I am looking forward to that.

I don't have any plans other than just letting God show me His plans. I will seek and I will search for direction from Him. I only want to be in His will and I only want to go where He leads.

Remember that sign that I saw in Colorado?

Pilot Vehicle
Follow Me
Do Not Pass

That sign was for me. I have not doubt. Pray for me as I embark on this new experience and as I seek His will. The following verse is one I read this morning. Oh, Hallelujah! God is so good.

"Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in
the wilderness,
And rivers in the desert."
(Isaiah 43:8)

GOD bless you, Beth for being brave enough to follow GOD's lead. So many times we stay in miserable states b/c we are afraid to go where GOD directs. I am thankful you are soaking in HIS peace.
Blessings, andrea

Beth,

Truly God is really looking out for you and sending you all kinds of signs. I think the last one you got to walk away from your job is a sign so many of us search for when we no longer the person staring at us in the mirror.

So relieved for you that God has new better plans in store for you to help Him continue to complete work here before He returns.

How exciting for you, Beth! You know that I, too, am doing a new thing - CAMP. I am truly enjoying it and I plan to use CAMP as a springboard to energizing my own passion for His Word. I am learning and listening for what He wants for me and of me. I'll be praying for you! :)

Good for you! I know the drain of an unsatisfactory job. I know the freedom of "letting go" and moving on. Pay close attention to your heart during this time; don't be surprised when the enemy comes along to detract from your pursuit of your "next". God is after far more in us than we give him credit for; he goes to great lengths to take us there.

Such an exciting time for you, friend. I'll be anxious to hear what God reveals to your during this season.

I love all the verses you chose! And what a beautiful post. And it all comes down to that simple verse in...

James 4:8
Draw NEAR to God and He will draw NEAR to you!

So simple and yet soooo TRUE as He reveals Himself to us more and more! The more of Him He reveals - the more we crave of Him!

I just love the Jeremiah verse. That was one that I memorized in high school youth group and actually stuck. We did verses 11-13. In fairness I should mention the part I did forget is where it is in the Bible. These are also the verses I clung to when I was pg with my DD and on bed rest.

It is such a wonderful feeling of peace when we follow His leading. I am praying for continued discernment as you learn what the next thing is going to be.

Praise God for His goodness and faithfulness to you!
Let's pray.
Father in Heaven, thank You for Your willingness to be found when we seek You. Thank You for revealing Yourself to Beth and leading her in Your will. As she hungers and thirst for more of You, I am asking You to pour out Your Spirit upon her - to lead her according to Your unfailing love. Truly, would You make her an instrument for Your glory!
I'm asking it in the wonderful, powerful, matchless Name of JESUS.
Amen and amen!

Have a Blessed day,

OH Beth!!! I sense your excitment in this! This is wonderful. Maybe it is God's will for you to have a ministry too, not just along side your husband-but there are so many things that a woman can do that a man can not! I am so happy for you...
John 10:3-4
3: To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he CALLETH HIS OWN SHEEP BY NAME, and leadeth them out.
4: And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

SPRINGS OF LIVING WATER!!!

Flow, Lord Jesus, FLOW.

I love ya Sis!!! LIKE CRAZY.

You bless so many of us and I pray that you, in turn, will receive a huge blessing.

I read these verses then went to Psalm 42:1 in my thoughts - "As the deer pants for water so my soul longs after you." A deer pants for water after he has been run by hunters or dogs. He is winded, tired and thirsty. He has to have water! The imagery of the Psalmist is that he is craving water, he must have it for his survival.

We are the same way, aren't we? For water and the Lord.

Good post, and good application of the verses you chose. Following God's lead is sometimes tough, but always right.

God bless as you minister with you husband.
