"Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting" (Psalm 139:23-24)
I join Lisa for Saturday Steps of Faith.
I took a MAJOR step in faith this week, as I quit my job of 9 years. I felt the Lord leaning me toward this for the last few months and have just rebelled against it due to my own insecurities about finances. I finally realized that until I was obedient, I wasn't going to be happy or prosper. I had to come to the realization that if I didn't heed to God's will for my life, I wouldn't be able to continue on my forward trek with the Lord.
So many ways, this week, the Lord has sent me confirmation after confirmation that I did just what he directed. I know that I am in His will and I will continue to listen to His voice as I seek the fullness of what He has for me.
I have been able to minister alongside my husband this week to many in our church family. I haven't ever been able to do this with him and it was so nice and we enjoyed our time together. There have been several people this week that have needed us BOTH and I just know that the Lord KNEW this. He had this all planned because He knew that I was going to be part of this ministry at this particular time.
For however long He allows me this privilege of being used of Him in this way, I will enjoy it and embrace it and I will thank my sweet Savior for this awesome opportunity.
I am believing God for continuing to draw me deeper. For continuing to speak to me louder. For continuing to quicken my spirit.
Each day, I fall more in love with Jesus. I am in awe of Him. I am in awe of His splendor. I am in awe of His love for me.
Thank you Father, for giving me life and for blessing me more abundantly than I can ever deserve. I love You with all my heart. I will seek You with all that I am.

I am so glad you are at peace about your decision! I am not very good at discerning God's voice and signs. I find it hard to make decisions any advice?
Wow Beth, that is a big decision and leap of faith! I'm so thankful you have peace and that you're already seeing the fruit of your obedience. Praise Him!
That is awesome!
Taking that leap of faith is scary. I remember about 8 years ago when God wanted me to quit my job.
God has never failed us and has always provide for us. Being here everyday for my daughter has been a blessing. He has allowed me to serve Him in ways I never thought.
I'm so happy for you...get ready for the blessings!!!
What an awesome step of faith you are making for the Lord Beth! I know that because of your obedience, God will surely bless you beyond measure!
I hope you enjoy your newfound freedom. Pretty soon you will start asking yourself. . .how in the world did I do ALL this and work too?
Be blessed my friend!
Beth,
I love your sweet heart of obedience. It could not have been an easy decision, but God will honor your obedience in ways you don't even see coming right now.
I love you friend.
Have a Blessed weekend,
Dawn
I am so glad you are following Him.
Blessings,
Amy
Isn't God faithful? Even when we can't see the reasons behind what He is asking us to do, He is patient with us. The results when we finally obey are fruitful every time!
Beth, I can't help but think of our scriptures for the month of August. HIS GLORY! He delights you and I so much and our Brothers and Sisters if we will only seek HIM, LOVE Him, and obey Him.
LOVE YA!
Praising God for your step of faith and for His faithfulness in showing His favor. I pray that God will prosper your home and bless you as you serve Him with your whole heart.
Blessings ~ Lisa
Isn't it amazing what the Lord will do when we hear HIS voice and obey HIM. I can only imagine how HE must be soo pleased with you and how all those people that you and your honey are being blessed! I only know it will continue to be more and more fruitful as you are filled and operating in the gifts HE has given you in this season!
Bless you my friend....love you dearly
Yes, it is a big decision, but I bet it was the only possible decision. God has, upon occasion, insisted that I be in a certain job. It was just amazing watching the door He wanted stay open while all my attempts to open other doors were slammed shut! It sounds like you went through something similar.
Beth,
I had a feeling this is the direction the Lord was going to use you in and I know it's only going to get even more busy in the future with new additions to your churches ministry.
May God continue to pour forth his blessings on you, your family, and everyone God directs your way.

Beth, That is a big decision to make trusting God in every part of it. Isn't it wonderful when the Lord has revealed Himself to us clearly enough for us to be able to trust Him with whatever He tells us to do? Knowing His faithfulness enabled you to trust Him, a natural response of knowing a person is trustworthy.
It feels good to know Him that well, doesn't it?
Great post Beth,
Christy
Beth, that is great news that the Lord has given you confirmation that you have followed His will about your job! He will bless you.
Keep stepping out in faith.

There's nothing that feels as good as knowing we are living in complete obedience to the Heavenly Father!
Praising God with you, knowing that He will take care of every financial need.
Blessings,

Beth,How great is our God. This week He gave me the word FOCUS. He said that we get to comfortable in our day to day routines. Bless you Beloved you are walking in your Season. I pray that you will continue to be obedient to God as he directs you in the path that He laid out for you before you were even conceived.
Beth,
I am so glad that you feel PEACE about this decision and that the Lord has given you so much confirmation! I am also glad that you are taking full advantage of being used for His work. I know that He will continue to bless you abundantly.
Many blessings!
Awesome! Aren't you glad! He gives peace that passes all understanding. :)
How cool is that: God is already blessing you for your obedience! How incredible and awesome that you are already seeing the fruit of walking in obedience. So happy for you -- and for those who will be touched because of this decision.
It's wonderful you have seen the need for you to be there at this time! He always knows!
Sounds like you are in the center of His will for you at this particular moment. What an incredible feeling, huh? How so like our Lord to put you right to work in your new role... serving as confirmation of His call. Awesome!
Beth - You are in such a good place. How wonderful to minister with your husband. Isn't it so sweet the way the Lord confirms things to us? That is always such a dear thing for me.
Praise the LORD!! Beth, I recall when it was my time May 6, 2006. Doing what the LORD says is a leap of faith. I will pray for you and your family in this powerful time!
I'm excited for you.
I love you.
Praising God with you, Beth, as you seek His face and walk in His ways.
Why is it so hard to be obedient when we KNOW we are to do just that? Yet we are so very human and we just seem to HAVE to do things our way!! I know... I have been mighty stubborn and had to go around the same fence pole so many times!!
I will be praying for you and your husband as You minister to your church. God will indeed minister to you.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
