He is the Remedy

"And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him." Hebrews 5:9

God loved us so much that He gave His son to be that perfect sacrifice. He gave His son to be that final sacrifice. Jesus died on the cross for you and for me. He became the sins of the world for you and for me.

Jesus became the thing that God hated the most. He became sin so that you and I would have the opportunity to inherit eternal life through Him.

When I think about what Christ has done and continues to do for me, I feel so guilty for not being more grateful, more thankful, and more committed. There is no one else in this world who would do for me what Christ did.

He died for me! He shed His innocent blood on the cross for me! He became sin for me!

Because of Him I am free. I am whole. I am forgiven. I am worthy. I am forever His.

"He is the one Who has saved us,

He is the one Who embraced us,

He is the one who has come

And is coming again,

He's the remedy"

(David Crowder)

Thank you precious Lord for being the author and perfector of our faith. Thank you for doing what no one else would or could do. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Thank you for loving me with a love that only comes from You. You are my life. You are my breath. You are my remedy.

It's often overwhelming for me what I think about what He did for me - the cost He paide to redeem me - buy me back. What love!

There are no human words or expressions to adequately and fully express my love and appreciation for what our LORD has done for us.

I walk in awe always.

Love you dear sister.

Your post reminds me of these lyrics, "I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross ..."

We are so blessed and we need that reminder.

Thank you dear.

Beth,
That is an amazing verse. I remember when I first read it. It blew me away that God would send Christ and that Christ would actually become sin for me. Amazing!!!

Love you friend,
Dawn

Oh Beth...thank you so much for dropping by my blog...for your encouragement and prayers re: Megan going to Africa, and for letting me know about your granddaughter. Sounds like and exciting adventure. I wanted you to know that I have prayed for her as well. I look forward to reading some posts about how things are going for her!
Have a great day.

The more I see of Jesus, the more I have to echo what Job said in Job 42:6 "I abhor myself"
All he has done for me and what do I do in return for Him.

I think the KJV says, "author and finisher of our faith" and I love that completeness we have in Christ.

That He became death for me...
blows me out of the water. Oh, what my Savior was willing to do - to show His love for me [us].

PS: I echo Beth in NC's song lyrics. We just sang that last week in church. Love it!

With having said all of that, Lord, I am so sorry for the moments that I am unfaithful & ungrateful. You, God, are our only TRUE Source!

Beth, you are a gem!

Love,
Yolanda
