THANKful Thursday

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

I am joining Sonya again for her Thankful Thursday. I am so thankful for you, Sonya! (that one doesn't count:)as my five)

1. I am ever so thankful for the power of prayer. I have seen it manifest this week in so many ways. I cannot imagine how anyone functions without that lifeline of prayer to God.

James 5:6 "... the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

2. I am thankful for the freedom we have to go to church. We can worship anytime, anywhere, anyway! Thank you, Jesus!

3. I am thankful that my sweet friend, Phyllis, made it through her 2nd surgery yesterday with no complications. She remains steadfast in her faith. What a testimony and a blessing she is.

4. I am thankful for new life. Babies are truly miracles. I am thankful that my daughter's pregnancy is going so well and that in less than 8 weeks we will hold that little miracle in our arms! Thank you, Lord!

5. I am thankful that we have the freedom and capability to tell others about Christ and His love through venues such as this. We can do it without the threat of persecution or punishment. Praise you, Lord!

Thanking Him,
Beth

Hi Beth! I saw that you stopped in at my blog and I just wanted to visit yours and introduce myself. My name is Melissa and I have been married for 14 years. I have 5 wonderful children (you probably saw the picture) ages 7,6,5,4 and 2. I am an at home mom and my husband is the Worship and Sr. High Pastor at our church. I am doing Beth Moore's Siesta Scripture Memory Team too! (I think that's how you found me.) Actually, my verse for the first part of February is the one on your blog today. Beth Moore has really had an impact on my life. I taught her "Get Out of That Pit" book at our last church. Our Women's Ministry at our current church is doing her study on Esther this Spring. I can hardly wait to begin. Well, thanks for stopping by, I look forward to getting to know you. :)

Beth,
These are 5 GREAT things to be thankful for. I too am so thankful for prayer. How did I ever survive before I was a praying woman? I'm so thankful that God made a way for us to come to Him. HE IS AWESOME!!!!!

I'm getting ready to snuggle up with my Bible and phone for my weekly bible study with a blog friend I've yet to meet in person. How cool is that? It is GREAT!! God is so good.

Have a Blessed evening friend,
Dawn

Every time I get a packet in the mail from Voice of the Martyrs I'm reminded how we take our religious freedoms for granted. Thank You Jesus!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Your daughters are beautiful! My husband hopes our children give him grandkids before he is too old to enjoy them (when they are old enough to be having children!) - as soon as our children are grown, he'll be so anxious for little ones again!
